Hello Friends,

In this post I’m going to unbox my brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Keyboard Dock along with a short review to the same.

The contents of the package :

  • The Keyboard Dock unit
  • A quick start guide

Here’s the video :

As you can see in the video, the dock looks really so cool. It looks solid and the Tablet fits nicely into the provided slot. There are two connection ports at two sides of the dock, namely, the standard 30-pin female jack at the right side of the dock to connect a charger or other stuff (via an adapter), and a 3.5 mm audio out jack at the rear of the dock to connect headphones.

I personally find this dock better than any bluetooth keyboards for two reasons. 1.) The tablet remains attached to the dock all the time. So, you really do not need to move two things along (tablet + keyboard) when you have to. 2.) Due to being physically attached to the dock the tablet performs better. I get instant feedback while I type. That, though, might not be the case if it is about bluetooth keyboards.

Pros :

  • Nicely built and looks stylish.
  • The dock color i.e. white matches up with that of the tablet, that is white too.
  • The tablet fits nicely into the dock. I had no hard times doing that, whatsoever.
  • The tablet being physically attached to the dock results in better performance and the feedbacks are just instant.
  • Good sized keys. Its a breeze to type on with this dock.
  • Dedicated keys for common android operations e.g. brightness controls, volume controls, media controls, email, internet, lock screen etc.
  • The 30-pin connector at the right lets you charge the tablet OR use itself has a USB host (via adapter). All, when the tablet is connected to the dock.

Cons :

  • Feels little heavier. Which makes it little difficult to handle this along with the tablet docked in, sometimes.
  • Little expensive.
  • No track-pad on-board. That means you will need to buy a mouse separately.
  • No direct usb port at the sides. Only proprietary 30-jack port.

Despite of few shortcomings (of-course are not deal-breaking), certainly, the pros for the dock almost outweighs the cons and I would certainly recommend this over anything to anyone who is looking for a nice keyboard dock for his/her galaxy tab 10.1.

Hello Friends,

In this post I’m going to unbox my brand new Logitech M555b Bluetooth Mouse along with a short review to the same.

The contents of the package :

  • The Logitech Bluetooth Mouse unit
  • A quick start guide
  • Two 1.5v alkaline batteries
  • The driver software CD (compatible with Windows XP/Vista/Mac OS X)

Here’s the video :

As you can see, the mouse looks really so cool. It is nicely built and is sturdy. With my Galaxy Tab 10.1 it gets connected in no time.  Its costs me about $46 for this unit.

Pros :

  • Nicely built and looks stylish
  • Butter smooth setup
  • Compatible with a range of devices

Cons :

  • Feels little heavy due to the weight that the two batteries add up
  • Little expensive
  • Do not perform good on air-free surfaces e.g. glass
